The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting will allow you to understand and develop essential accounting and finance skills. This introduces key accounting topics such as double-entry bookkeeping, basic management accounting and understanding the business environment. To complete this first certificate, you will need to pass four units:

• Introduction to Bookkeeping (IBTK)
• Principles of Bookkeeping Controls (POBC)
• Principles of Costing (PCTN)
• The Business Environment (BENV)

Completion of the four units above will allow you to receive your first certificate in this bookkeeping bundle!

Progressing onto the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting will develop your knowledge and understanding gained in the L2 certificate – developing your knowledge and understanding at an advanced level

Completion of this certificate requires you to pass four units:

• Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements (FAPS)
• Tax Processes for Businesses (TPFB)
• Management Accounting Techniques (MATS)
• Business Awareness (BUAW)

Once you have passed both the AAT Level 2 and Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping, you will be able to apply for an AAT bookkeeping membership
