CIMA Professional Strategic level
This is the final level of the CIMA Professional qualification.
You will need to pass all assessments to be awarded the qualification and be eligible for CIMA membership.
The entry requirements for the level is the completion of both the CIMA Operational and the CIMA Management levels. If you have completed CIMA Gateway you may also study at this level.
E3 – Strategic Management
This unit enables you to develop both the skills and the abilities to become an effective leader, this will enable you to formulate strategy and create conditions for successful implementation.

P3 – Risk Management
This unit enables you to both specify and mange risks that could have an impact on company’s strategy. You’ll develop the skills to analyse, evaluate and manage strategic, operational and cyber risks. All of these are critical in providing effective governance of an organisation.

F3 – Financial Strategy
This unit will enable you to understand the different strategic financial objectives and policy options open to different organisations and factors that may influence them. This will enable you to create financial strategy, evaluate and manage financial risk and assess organisational value. Whilst understanding the capital structure of a business and the availability of suitable long term funding.

Strategic case study exam
This exam will test your overall knowledge of E3, P3 and F3 to enable you to resolve the issues that a management accountant working at your level may come across at work.
You must pass all three objective tests before attempting the case study.
On completion you should be able to support organisational leaders to create strategy; evaluate and manage risks that might prevent organisations from successfully implementing strategy; value organisations; and source financial resources required to implement strategy. In essence you’ll resolve the issues that a management accountant will come across at work.
A 3-hour case study exam with sitting 4 times a year. In February, May, August and November.
