IAB Level 2 Award in Payroll for Business
Aims to provide learners with a comprehensive range of knowledge and the practical skills that they will be able to use as a payroll processor for a variety of businesses.
This course can be ‘topped up’ with a level 2 Certificate in Computerised Payroll for Business.
What you’ll study:
- Principles of employee legislation and payroll processing.
- Computerised payroll processing.
- Undertake advanced tasks, including statutory sick pay, statutory maternity pay and a basic pension scheme. The process for starters and leavers is practised, and full use is made of the Real-Time Information functionality
- The skills to assess the implications of maintaining accuracy when performing any payroll tasks
- The importance of maintaining accuracy, security and data integrity in performing any payroll tasks
- Develop knowledge, understanding and the skills needed to deal with payroll transactions

2. Online knowledge test. These are taken in class or at home. These are open book

Entry Requirements
It is recommended that the Level 1 Award in payroll be achieved prior to moving to the Level 2. However, an assessment can be made for suitability. It is also recommended that prospective learners have acquired basic skills in both numeracy and literacy prior to starting their studies in this subject area.
