The AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping is an introductory course which requires no previous experience of accountancy. It provides an excellent starting point for anyone looking to gain a basic understanding of bookkeeping and finance skills. You could be completely new to the subject or a returning learner. Our short course is delivered by an online platform, course books and ad-hoc tutor support. This course can help give you the confidence and foundation knowledge to start your career in accountancy.

As an introductory course, Level 1 is designed for independent study and does not include live or weekly online sessions. This makes it an ideal, low-cost entry point for learners who are just starting out and want a flexible, self-paced experience.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for the AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping. However, it is recommended that prospective learners have acquired basic skills in both numeracy and literacy prior to starting their studies in this subject area.
